We believe in EMPOWERING people with the tools to live a better life!
While many programs suggest you give up your work and relationships, here at ARC we encourage them. It simply doesn't make any sense to be forced to give up the positive facets of your life when trying to eliminate the negative ones. So, you may bring your spouse or family member ...whatever makes you the most comfortable during your path towards sobriety.
Our opiate and alcohol detox programs are as pain free as we can offer using the latest medical technologies. As we would not want to see our husbands, wives, children, and loved ones suffer, we go through great lengths to make our clients equally as comfortable.
Our detox program is performed in the privacy of private suites from area hotels. The Nurse comes to you three times a day and you will have someone with you 24-7 to make sure you are comfortable. You do not share a room with someone you do not know. When you are up and feeling better we encourage you to get out and about to enjoy seeing Savannah, exercising anything you may feel up to. You have to “live in the real world” so we keep you in the real world while moving through the process. This form of lodging increases our clients' level of anonymity concerning treatment. Nothing in your records would reveal anything other than you had a relaxing vacation in beautiful Savannah,Georgia.
When you come to us for help, we promise that you will leave our program healthier, happier, and for the better, and we equip you with the skills to move forward on your journey to rest of your life.
Assisted Recovery Center of Georgia, Inc. was started in 2000 by Terry Bruce after 12-step programs, alcohol detox, intensive inpatient, and other traditional detox centers failed to help a member of her family recover from alcohol addiction. While searching for other treatments, Ms. Bruce came across the studies by the University of Pennsylvania addictions researcher Joseph Volpicelli MD, PhD. He pioneered Naltrexone's use in treating alcohol addiction, which led to its FDA approval for its use in alcoholism in 1994. Dr. Volpicelli discovered that Naltrexone significantly reduced the cravings for alcohol, which allowed for the person in treatment to focus more on his or her recovery.
More than just a traditional alcohol detox/opiate detox center, our beautiful Savannah, Georgia location has served clients from the South East, including Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee as well as all over the United States.
