Terry Bruce, President and CEO

Terry founded the Assisted Recovery Center of Georgia in May 2000 when a loved one's attempts in traditional recovery programs proved unsuccessful. After extensive research, she discovered drug Naltrexone, and based ARC-GA on similar facilities which used this medication in their protocols. Prior to starting this program, Terry was responsible for initiating a company wide LAN system for McDonnell-Douglas Aerospace, and managed one of first video-conferencing programs in the country. In addition, she was Communications Manager for 3D International's Houston, Austin, and New York operations, and served on the Board of Directors of the International Word Processing Association for 5 years.

Jerry Lovett

Jerry has extensive experience in broadcast sales and marketing in the Coastal Empire. Since its inception, she has been the primary financial contributor to Assisted Recovery Center of GA, and remains on the Board of Directors, where she serves as the organization's Treasurer.

C. Denise Lee, Office Manager

Denise has over 17 years experience in office management and accounting including St. Joseph's Health Center and Effingham Hospital. Her expertise in working with insurance companies and helping patients understand and process statements correspondence provides an invaluable service for Assisted Recovery, as well as the people we serve.

Robert F. Proctor, MD

Dr. Robert F. Proctor serves as ARC-GA’s Medical Director. He is a graduate of Emory University School of Medicine, 1959 and he is certified, by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has served in the Air Force Reserve and the U.S. Army Medical Corp. Dr. Proctor’s private practice has encompassed emergency medicine as well as medical management of behavioral and substance abuse disorders.

Jennifer DeMott, RN

With over 16 years experience as a RN, Jennifer as specialized in clinical psychiatric nursing and home health care. A native of Key West, Florida, she is currently pursuing her MSN degree at Armstrong Atlantic State University. Her caring touch and gentle bedside manner are greatly appreciated by both patients and families alike.

Millie Ellis, RN

Millie is a dedicated Registered Nurse who has extensive experience in helping clients with addiction. Her utilization of a pain free approach has made her beloved by all of the clients whose lives she has touched.

Susan Kent, MSW, ACSW, LCSW, Clinical Director: Counseling

Susan has worked in the field of mental health since 1978 with a specific focus on chemical dependency since 1982. She is conversant with cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as hypnosis, relaxation, narrative, and gestalt therapies. She has also worked with survivors of abuse including physical, sexual, emotional, and self-induced.

Wayne Welch, LCSW

Wayne is a graduate of the University of Georgia, School of Social Work, and has over 40 years experience in private practice and the clinical milieu. He has served as the Director of Social Work at Georgia Regional Hospital, and was the Chief Social Worker at Central State Hospital. He was awarded Social Worker of the Year by the Southeast Georgia unit of the NASW in 1986, and continues to be an active community advocate.

Stanley E. Williams, BS, MS, LPC

As one of our contracted therapists, Mr. Williams is a licensed professional counselor with over 20 years experience in treating addictions and in behavioral health in the public and private sector. He specializes in approaches that assist with changing ritualistic behaviors, negative self-talk and strong urges connected to relapse from such drugs as cocaine, alcohol, and opiates.

Sugar is a female Miniature Yorkshire Terrier who provides a loving greeting for staff and clients alike. She has a strong sense of compassion and her therapeutic techniques have a calming effect upon all.
