HealthPro Program

Health Pro

HealthPro is a program designed for all health care professionals.

Many healthcare professionals view addictions to drugs or alcohol as a career-ending problem and fear that seeking help through their employer or professional health programs may jeopardize their careers. Most treatment programs can be rigid, punitive, expensive, and may involve mandatory inpatient treatment and outpatient aftercare programs lasting up to five years.

The cost of the treatment can run into the thousands of dollars and abstention from work or school for as long as a year. The fear of major financial expense, loss of income, stress on the family, and being away for several months often forces healthcare professionals to hide the problem until it is too late. Most often the employee is caught red-handed or turned in by a co-worker which leaves the employee few options but to agree to the mandated treatment or resign.

The ARCA HealthPro Program offers Healthcare Professionals immediate and highly confidential access to evidence-based treatment for a range of chemical dependences ranging from alcohol to prescription narcotic drugs.

Healthcare professionals now have a clear choice. Seek treatment well before the problems become unmanageable. The ARCA HealthPro program is a multi-faceted treatment that incorporates psychiatric, psychological, and relapse prevention counseling. The treatment is on an outpatient basis and group and individual sessions are conveniently scheduled in the evenings and weekends to minimally disrupt work, family, or school. The outcomes are better because the treatment occurs in the natural environment that the patient lives and works.

Employment Assistance Program

One important employee benefit in the modern business world is an Employee

Assistance Program, or EAP. Assisted Recovery Center takes part in the Employee

Assistance services of many Savannah-area businesses and industries. As

such, the center provides counseling, education, and training to the

employees of EAP contract-holders.

Contracts are negotiated between the center

administrators and business representatives to provide a specified number

of prepaid counseling sessions to employees and dependents. In a win-win

the situation for employer and employee, optimal workplace performance is more

frequently maintained for the employer and a message of value and respect

is conveyed to employees.

Once a company has a signed contract with the Assisted Recovery Center, employees can

easily and confidentially access counseling for issues such as marital,

family, or financial difficulties, grief, substance abuse, or any other

concerns that may interfere with work or personal life. An employee or

dependent need simply schedule a confidential assessment by calling

(912)352-2425. After an initial evaluation, a clinical professional will

determine the appropriate level of intervention and then recommend the

the most appropriate course of treatment.

Alcohol Harm Reduction Program

Research suggests there are four times as many problem drinkers as there are alcoholics. The dilemma for 9 out of 10 problem drinkers is that they actively avoid the “traditional” treatment approaches. They do not want to be labeled as an alcoholic, forced to attend 12-step meetings or to accept lifetime abstinence as the only acceptable recovery goal. This program is intended for those individuals whose alcohol consumption has not yet negatively affected their health or quality of life. The client’s intent must be to reduce their alcohol consumption thereby avoiding the total loss of control, health, and quality of life that continued heavy drinking inevitably produces. This program is based on the work of Dr. John David Sinclair. The so-called Sinclair Method is designed to educate those individuals who are only willing to commit to reducing their consumption of alcohol to a socially acceptable level. Of course, abstinence is always our ultimate objective, but it cannot always be the only acceptable option.

Many of our clients find abstinence a more feasible option after participating in our

the program, which includes:

  • Screening, Intake, Orientation to our services
  • Physical Assessment by a physician or nurse practitioner
  • Clinical Assessment including a Bio-Psycho-Socio Assessment
  • Pharmacotherapy
  • Individualized Treatment Planning with an interdisciplinary staff
  • Screening Laboratory fees
  • Non-12-Step group therapy session twice weekly facilitated by a therapist
  • Individual therapy with a licensed therapist
